All About Ms. Jones

Hello!  My name is Ms. Jones.  I am honored to be your child's Kindergarten teacher.  I am a veteran teacher with more than 20 years of experience working in education.  I am certified in Elementary Education as well as ESOL, K-12 Reading, and have my media specialist certification.  I attended Grinnell College in Iowa and worked at Gerald Adams Elementary School in Key West, Florida for 19 years.  I have taught Pre-K, Kindergarten, 1st grade, 2nd grade and worked as an ESOL specialist and Reading Teacher.  I am glad to return to the South Suburbs as I grew up here and am so happy to be surrounded by family and the Homewood community.  

 

I love working with children and their families as they begin their learning journey.  Kindergarten is a special year for students!  There is so much for children to learn and experience as they begin school.  Room 23 students will become readers, writers and mathematicians!  We will create art and learn all about the world around us in hands-on activities.   I invite you to contact me if you would like to join us as a classroom volunteer.  You can reach me by phone, email, or message me in the Class Dojo app.  I look forward to an engaging year with our students.
