Hello, I'm Maggie....

Hello!

My name is Maggie Krol, and I’m thrilled to join the team at Willow Elementary School as your school social worker.

With eight years of experience in school settings and a lifelong passion for supporting children, I’m committed to helping students thrive both emotionally and academically. I graduated from the University of Iowa and earned my Master’s in Social Work while living in Miami, Florida. During that time, I had the opportunity to work in a range of settings, including hospitals, hospice, and schools, gaining experience in trauma-informed care and family support.

In 2015, I returned to my hometown of Homewood and later earned my Professional Educator License (PEL/Type 73) through the University of Illinois at Chicago. Coming back to the community that raised me has been incredibly meaningful, especially as a proud Willow Wildcat alum myself!

As a school social worker, my focus is on building strong relationships with students, families, and staff. My approach is grounded in empathy, collaboration, and culturally responsive care. I’m here to support the well-being of every student and ensure they feel safe, heard, and empowered throughout their school journey.

During my time away from school, I have a private therapy practice and love being outside. I love playing golf with my friends and family, trying new recipes and going to comedy shows!

I'm always here to help, please don’t hesitate to reach out!

Warmly,

Maggie Krol, LCSW
